Ben is back in our new studio and this time he is joined by his awesome wife Dedra. Two apologies for this episode: one as you'll hear, part of the episode is cut out due to technical issues. Second, we apologize if this episode makes you question your own beliefs around relationships and brings new light to conversations most people aren't willing to have. Whether it is religious or "just how we've always done things", it's important to gain new perspectives and that's exactly what Ben and Dedra shared with us. We also cover the birth of Morphogen Nutrition and their early struggles with the company before diving into open relationship topics. Major discussion points include:
- The Moment Ben and Dedra Knew There Was More
- Ben’s Struggle with Depression
- Taking Time Off
- Ben’s Grad School
- Ben’s Talk with His Dad
- Sex at Dawn and Human Sexuality
- Ben and Dedra’s Personalities in Swinging
- Advice to Other’s Interested
- First One to Be Honest
- The Process of Entering the Swinger Lifestyle
Swinging - a sexual activity in which both singles and partners in a committed relationship engage in such activities with others as a recreational or social activity. Swinging is a form of non-monogamy and is an open relationship.
Polyamory - is the practice of, or desire for, intimate relationships with more than one partner, with the consent of all partners involved.
Polygamy- is the practice of marrying multiple spouses. When a man is married to more than one wife at a time, sociologists call this polygyny. When a woman is married to more than one husband at a time, it is called polyandry. If a marriage includes multiple husbands and wives, it can be called a group marriage.
